1,300 sq ft GroRoof® installed recently at the St. Vincent’s Hospital building-turned-condo 130 West 12th Street in NYC. This project included a combination of our standard 4” modules and custom grown 6” GroRoof® modules. This green roof was installed in just one day!
A few pics from the 1,300 sq ft GroRoof® installed last week at the Bartlett Square Condominiums in Jamaica Plain (Boston), MA.
The ACUA GroRoof was installed in 2010 (as pictured on the left - photo taken on day of installation). The roof has no irrigation system and no hose. Due to its northeastern location, this GroRoof relies primarily on rain for moisture, receiving occasional watering only as needed. The photo on the right shows how the roof looks today, almost two years after it was installed.
Check out the first images from the 1,300 sq ft GroRoof® that is being installed today! This design of this NYC green roof incorporates the use of our standard 4” Extensive I GroRoof® modules (with our standard sedum mix) with our 6” Extensive III GroRoof® (custom grown sedum mix) modules.
MGV currently has 35,000+ sq ft of standard 4” GroRoof® modules that have achieved a minimum of 90% coverage (were “over-wintered”) and are ready to ship. In fact, they were so lush that our grower had to “mow” them! :)
15,000 sq ft of GroRoof® was recently installed at Skyview Parc in Queens, NY as part of an incredible intensive and extensive green roof. You can see more images from this project by clicking on the photo above.
